Factors affecting Brain Health
Your sense of smell plays an important part in your life. It has long been known that there is a powerful link between the sense of smell and emotions. Think about it for a moment: perhaps the aroma of a cake baking recalls happy memories of grandma’s kitchen – lovely or maybe the smell of paint makes you feel sick – not so lovely! Read more…

It is a well known fact that our brain is divided into two parts. In layman’s terms we refer to it as the left brain and the right brain. Technically, the brain is divided into two distinctly separate cerebral hemispheres—much like the way earth is divided into the northern and the southern hemispheres.
Both sides look alike, but both have their own jobs to do. They function side-by-side or laterally. However, lateral working is different for different people and for specific functions. Read more…

Stop interfering!
I hope by now that you have grasped the very simple but profound concept that the brain already knows exactly how to take care of itself for life…. if only we would let it. But we don’t and very successfully manage to interfere with its natural working by imposing on it all sorts of conditions that it finds most unwelcome. Here I’m referring to actions like undue stress, drugs, poor diet, sleep deprivation, wasteful sexual practices, lack of exercise… and so on.
Look here you brain!
My position is that any program that aims to keep the brain young has to foster its health by providing the ‘right’ conditions for it to look after itself. It’s a hands-off approach that says to the brain – “Look, I’ve put in place the conditions for you to re-engineer yourself and stay young for years to come so go for it.” It seems such a simple natural strategy that one can only speculate as to why it’s been kept secret for so long. In this post I want to take a close look at the last two of the four processes the optimum performance of which I believe is absolutely vital to the proper functioning of all the body’s cells..
Key 3: Breathing
Although at birth we commence to use our lungs to breathe independently for the first time, we use movement of the abdomen to inhale and exhale. This movement follows the pattern set in the womb where our lifeline, the umbilical cord, was connected to the navel. Read more…

In the next two posts I want to take a close look at four processes the optimum performance of which I believe is absolutely vital to the proper functioning of all the body’s cells..
Further, I believe that either prior to birth or as babies or both we knew these processes and how to use them to optimize their health benefits. Unfortunately, we have allowed these key systems to deteriorate, albeit unwittingly, and that by restoring them we interact with the cells and encourage them to raise their efficiency. This in turn rejuvenates all of the body’s major organs and glands including the brain. Read more…

What if you could take control of brain aging… slow it down so you could protect your earning power and enjoy the lifestyle you want for as long as you want… wouldn’t that be great? Well, you can!
In my previous post I introduced the brain/old house analogy as a means to illustrate that we must provide conditions that foster healthy neurons, create new neurons and increase and strengthen the connections between neurons.
Today’s Post
In today’s post I’ll explain how the brain is much smarter than the old house and together we’ll continue down the path to becoming your very own brain health specialist Read more…

Today’s Post
Near the end of my first post in this series I made the profound statement that:
“You already know how to take control of your health… that you already have available all the systems, resources and knowledge you need… and all you need do is tap into them. SO YOUR BRAIN ALREADY KNOWS HOW TO MAINTAIN ITSELF FOR LIFE!”
In this post I further explore the implications and continue down the path to becoming your very own brain health specialist Read more…

Part 2 of 2: Scrambled Brain
In a previous post I talked about one of the roles of the Hippocampus. If you recall I said the hippocampus resides inside the temporal lobes of the brain and in conjunction with the parietal lobes it plays a key role in spatial orientation. Then we looked at what was meant by that term
At the bottom line, if your spatial orientation is poor you’re more likely to get lost. Your sense of direction becomes faulty. Let’s try to illustrate what we’re talking about with simple example. Read more…

THINK ABOUT THIS: The intelligence stored in your body cells is the same intelligence that created you in nine months! It did that marvellous, incredible act without any assistance at all.
Of course, once we are born we immediately let all sorts of people experiment with us – as if they somehow are a pool of knowledge and intelligence greater than that which created us. Read more…

Your brain receives, analyses and interprets information gathered by the senses, but it does not itself have any sensors. It lacks the types of sensory neurons (nerve cells) that, for example, enable the skin, mouth, ears and muscles to collect and convey sensory information. That means the actual brain (the brain after protective coverings have been removed) can’t feel anything no matter how it is treated. As an illustration, patients can be kept awake while areas of their brain are identified and removed (if necessary) without them feeling any pain.

What is Sexual Energy
Sexual energy is a bioelectric energy and goes by many names but I prefer to see it as sperm or ovarian energy – it’s the body’s life force – the power that gives the body vitality. It has its origins at conception and can either be preserved and circulated to benefit from its powerful healing properties or squandered with a consequent depletion in vitality and general deterioration in health. I imagine most of us have, at some time or other, allowed an illness to run its course rather than resorting to a visit to the doctor. Certainly in that course of action it may take longer for the symptoms to subside but the illness is, more often than not, conquered.
So what does that tell us? Read more…

We are all aware of the effects of alcohol and drugs on the brain so in this post I simply want to list some other things you can do to ensure that you ruin your brain and greatly increase the likelihood of ending up gaga!
- Avoid having sex
- Keep a clothes peg on your nose
- Never sleep
- Keep your eyes closed
- Stay continually stressed
- Slouch
- Avoid doing anything that might be difficult
- Chest breathing
- Maintain poor circulation

- Use ear-plugs
This is one program that is virtually guaranteed to work!

Few people realise just how easy it is to interact with their brain. But, of course, easy is the way it should be. As I’ve said in previous posts a true health program whether it’s for physical, sexual or mental healing has to be free and accessible to everyone.
Okay… so you’re probably thinking that’s sort of fine, however, when it comes to my brain I’m not so sure I want to fiddle around with that… (but I’m happy to let someone else do it!)
Well, that’s a path I don’t want to go down so here’s a simple exercise I use to get in touch with my brain…
1) Using the thumbs locate the two hollows at the base of the skull, one on each side about 2 to 3 inches (5-7 cms) apart.
2) Tilt head back and press firmly but gently up under the skull.
3) Close eyes and breathe deeply while pressing these points for about 2-3 minutes.
My that feels better!
